Thanks for Donating!

On behalf of our staff here at Lane Memorial Blood Bank and the patients that received your
life-saving gift, a huge thanks goes out to donors and media. As you may recall, a massive
blood transfusion and two major surgeries left the county’s blood supply dangerously low on
Friday July 9th. Lane Memorial Blood Bank issued a press release to local media and contacted
previous blood donors to take action. The rest is written in our community’s record books; In
the space of less than 8 hours, 95 donors gave freely of themselves so a mother, father, son,
or daughter has another day with someone they love.

Lane County’s blood supply has stabilized again. Thank you and spread the word that blood
donors make a difference.
